Our Aim

Our aim is to give each patient individualised and sensitive care and treatment of the highest standard by renal trained staff, using efficient and up-to-date equipment and procedures, in a safe and friendly environment. The Unit has a friendly and relaxed atmosphere and patients are encouraged, where possible, to participate in their treatments.

Treatment

We treat inpatients who need dialysis treatment on the Jack Pryor Unit.  Patients who need regular sessions of kidney dialysis are treated in a purpose-built community dialysis unit, known as the Norwich Kidney Centre at Francis Way in Bowthorpe.

Holiday Haemodialysis

We are able to arrange dialysis for patient holidays both at home and abroad, subject to availability.  We also accept holiday patients from other units to dialyse here and on our Cromer unit – again, this is subject to availability of spaces.  Please contact us to find out more details.

Jack Pryor Unit haemodialysis unit: 01603 288296, Cromer haemodialysis unit: 01603 646155.

Further Information

Every other month a patient information evening is held for renal patients and their carers to learn about dialysis treatment from the renal multidisciplinary team.  There are patients information leaflets, books and videos available on the unit.
