A clinical guideline in the management Of Preterm Prelabour Rupture Of The Membranes Under 36 Weeks .
Premature birth occurs in 6 to 8% of pregnancies and is associated with significant neonatal morbidity and mortality. About one third of cases is associated with preterm pre-labour rupture of the membranes pPROM .
As of March 2014 it is recommended at NNUH that Erythromycin is given in proven pPROM.
Clinical GuidelinesThis guideline has been approved by the Trust's Clinical Guidelines Assessment Panel as an aid to the diagnosis and management of relevant patients and clinical circumstances.
