Visiting is currently suspended to limit the spread of Covid-19, but we understand how important it is for our patients and their loved ones to keep in touch, so offer a number of ways to do this, including “virtual visiting” using iPads, our “Best Wishes” service from PALS and our new Relatives’ Liaison team. In these exceptional circumstances, one person may visit:
The patient is receiving end-of-life care
You’re the birthing partner of a woman in labour
You’re a parent or appropriate adult visiting your child
You’re supporting someone with a mental health issue such as dementia, a learning disability or autism, and not being present would cause them distress.
Please contact the ward or department in advance to discuss arrangements. See more information.
