Special Clinical Interests: I maintain clinical and research interest in Obs&Gynae including infertility and NICU infection, novel molecular detection methods and infection control.
I have been active in academic work over a wide range of Infectious Diseases and Public Health since 2006.
I have enthusiasm for AB stewardship which I helped establish in my previous consultant post and medical education. For NNUH I am Lead for Orthopaedic Infections and Microbiology.
I trained in polyvalent laboratory medicine in Athens, Greece with a more recent clinical fellowship in Public Health England and a PhD studentship with Imperial College London(Infectious Diseases).
Passed briefly as a locum fellow from the Royal Free Hospital, and then worked as an MMV consultant in Milton Keynes, where I helped develop a Trust wide antimicrobial stewardship ward-based program.
I am an UEA honorary lecturer and deliver Microbiology Teaching for the MBBS Medicine and MSc Physician Associates courses.
