THE HOSPITAL CHAPEL

Our Chapel is a multi-faith space, used by people of all faiths and none.

It is located on Level 1 in the Centre Block (please ask at any Reception if you need directions).

The Chapel is open at all hours, day and night, and is a good place for quiet reflection or prayer.

CHAPEL GARDEN

We also have a Chapel Garden which is open during daylight hours. The entrance is through the Chapel.

Designed as a multi-sensory garden, it includes the sound of water, colourful and aromatic plants, leaves of many textures, and seating areas to enjoy them.

It can be a useful place to sit and reflect, a source of peace and calm, and a place of connection to the natural world.

We hope the Chapel and Chapel Garden will be a source of peace and tranquillity for anyone who wants to use them.

RACE AND CULTURAL AWARENESS PACK

Hospital staff aim to care for patients, their relatives and carers in a way which is sensitive to the particular considerations of their race, ethnicity, religion or culture. To assist with this, we attach a Race and Cultural Awareness Pack, which includes some health-related information on most of the major world faiths, and some cultural groups. Please refer to this pack as you feel necessary.

If you are a representative of any of the faiths included in this pack, and disagree with any of the information contained in it, please contact the Chaplaincy on chaplaincy@nnuh.nhs.uk, and we will review the pack in the light of the information you give us. Thank you for your contribution.

PLEASE GIVE US FEEDBACK

If you are a patient, relative or visitor to the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital, the Chaplaincy are interested to hear if the hospital was able to meet your faith/belief needs. Were you offered spiritual or pastoral support for the Chaplaincy? Were you referred to the Chaplaincy when you asked to be? If you asked to see a representative of a particular faith/belief, was Chaplaincy able to provide one?

Let us know if you were able to practice your faith/belief as you would have wished while in the hospital. Please email: chaplaincy@nnuh.nhs.uk.
